Abstract

This paper presents some results from the research Clusters and collaboration networks for the cultural economy – a comparison between creative work in Europe and Latin America, which compared urban clusters in Latin American and European cities to understand their characteristics, ecosystems, and how local, national, and regional public policies influence their sustainability processes, territorial relations, and production. Based on analytical tools developed by Pierre Bourdieu, the study established analytical categories to understand the different dynamics that compose the subfields of cultural production, innovation, and consumption by analyzing the clusters and their processes within the field of cultural and creative production in both continents.
