Within these contexts, the concept of language as an object of study suffered deep reformulations along the developments of both disciplines, as well as the kind of tasks that should be accomplished by the linguist and the philologist. The paper outlines the reformulations that occurred with both metaterms, from the point of view of those that recognized them selves as participants o f the following specialties:Philologie, Sprachwissenschaft, Linguistik, Glottik, Comparative Philology, Comparative GrammarDownloads
