Abstract

From a pragmatic point-of-view, this article delineates a short panorama of the studies about meaning in Brasil, through the survey and analysis of the summaries of the articles about the theme published between 1985 and 1999 in DELTA magazine (specialized Brazilian periodical on linguistics, whose complete name is “Documentação de Estudos em Lingüistica Teórica e Aplicada” (documentation on theoretical and applied linguistics studies)
