Na trilha das bandeiras

Abstract

The project "Filologia Bandeirante", searching for vestiges of lnaguage from the period of the "bandeiras" in current speech recordings, has shown to be of immense richness, once the results have gone beyond the inicitial target. This article intends to present parte of the study developed by the project, through the analyses of two recordings made in Catalão (GO). By this analyses, the synchronic and diachronic facets of the project are revealed, bringing a contribution to the history of our language, dialectology, sociolinguistics and other fields of study.
