This study analyses the effects of physical therapy intervention in cases of children having cerebral paralysis, by using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation procedures and one subject methodology. Variants controlled: muscle tone and motor performance quantitatively; crawling ability, praxic use of the hands and frequency of spontaneous voluntary motricity qualitatively. The results have shown a quantitative as well as a qualitative gain in motor performance, without alteration of muscle tone. Both have influenced the functional performance of the patient.
