Current physical therapy: profissional actions and results for the people

Abstract

The purpose of this work was to produce information about the problems observed by the physical therapists, to examine the kinds of assistence developed and the results of this actions to the society. Data was collected in many physical therapy sectors and questionaries were applied to directors of these sectors. The most frequently observed problems were: "legs and arms traumatisms", "vertebral spine problems" and "neurological problems". Related to the kinds of assistence, the data showed an absence of the adequate conception about the preventive attention and an absence of actions with the objective to avoid the human movement diseases. The results of this situation upon the people was analized and new ways were pointed.
