Abstract

The functional capacity, especialy of the motor status, is one of the most important markers of successful aging. Losses in functional capacity in the elderly population are associated to frailty prediction, dependency, increased risk of falls, institutionalization and death. An evaluation focused just on symptoms and signs is limited when one yeld has to choose an intervention that might have an impact on the elderly functional condition.
