The Covid-19 pandemic has brought a series of reflections on the sanitary conditions of the environments for long-term uses. Schools, offices, hospitals, etc. had to readjust to avoid the virus proliferation and new diseases and bring more comfort and well-being to the building users. The main purpose of this paper is to present the potential use of a multi-objective algorithm to optimize educational institutional layout spaces taking into consideration the internal solar incidence and the social distancing recommended by the WHO. The method was experimental development in six stages; (i) literature review research; (ii) defining the ambients and params to be analyzed; (iii) model development; (iv) computational simulation; (v) multi-objective optimization; e (vi) result analysis, The spaces and desks modeling were made on the software Rhinoceros through plug-in Grasshopper, the internal solar incidence calculations were made with Honeybee and the optimization multi-objective algorithm was applied through Wallacei. As a result, we could rapidly verify the best layout considering social distancing between desks and minimization of solar incidence on desks. This paper can offer a new method for study and development of future projects that are more diligent not only for common regular basis projects but also for those in a crisis situation where a rapid and safe response is required from the designer.
