Abstract

This article conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on security in Social Housing Projects, emphasizing the need to adapt security requirements to the dynamic socioeconomic and familial transformations. The study proposes an integrated and detailed analysis, identifying how the variable security preferences of users can be more effectively understood and met. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the paper addresses security beyond crime prevention, considering physical, social, psychological, and economic factors. The SLR methodology allows an in-depth view of the factors shaping residents' perceptions of security, highlighting the need for strategies that promote not only physical security but also the well-being and stability of the residents. This article contributes to the field by offering a critical synthesis of existing research and suggesting guidelines for future interventions and studies in social housing.
