Termography and drone as tool for pathological manifestations' diagnosis in cultural heritage

Abstract

The difficulty of accessing the building heritage's documentation (including building techniques and materials) is limiting of your conservation and restoration interventions. Therefore, the research process must be more itemized about the agents causing the pathological manifestations and the behavior of their component materials because the buildings advanced age, surrounding and weathering impacts result in serious damage. Thus, it is necessary to adopt new strategies to carry out and complement the diagnosis of the building's state of art, which even make it possible to inspect difficult to access points. In this context, the present paper use of digital technologies for complement the diagnosis of the state of building heritage conservation, the chapel of Santa Teresinha, located in Juiz de Fora city (mg). The methodology consisting in: literature review; the damage mapping according to visual inspection, thermography and VANT (hours aeronave). At finally, these technologies provided a more accurate diagnosis as the understanding of the characteristics of the materials and interventions strategies development in the historical heritage.
