Studies on value creation in social housing have been conducted with the aimof improving the quality of housing and the level of users’ satisfaction. Capturing customer
requirements is the first step in the process of value creation, however, it is difficult to identify
the requirements of the population for social housing. This article aims to discuss the use of
Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) and stated preference technique for capturing and ranking
requirements of social housing for the end-user. Thus, it is expected to generate subsidies for
the inclusion of improvements in these homes through the design development process. For
the research, were used POE techniques such as structured questionnaires in the form of inperson
interviews, registration through physical and photographic survey and the application
of stated preference technique using the instrument of illustrated card game. The sample was
composed of 93 interviews conducted in a housing complex in the city of Londrina, Paraná,
whose audience fits in the first strip of the program Minha Casa Minha Vida 1 Program. The
techniques used for data analysis were frequency tables and statistical inferences based
on confidence intervals. As a result of the research, a list of requirements for housing was
obtained, ranked according to perceived value desired by the end-user.
