This work presents the geological model which was developed from lithology estimation using indicator kriging. The database used in this study contains samples from bore holes drilled in the Americano do Brasil deposit, GO, which is composed of a mafic-ultramafic suite of rocks associated with nickel-copper sulphide mineralization. The considered variable is the lithology description, which contains categorical and qualitative information. The estimated geological model is useful for the comprehension of the geometric and stratigrafic relationships between the rock bodies. Our study suggests that the indicator kriging can be a valuable tool for evaluation studies of mineral deposits.Downloads
