Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the profile of the Brazilian ceremonialist, highlighting their relevance as a specialist who combines technique, sensitivity, and historical-cultural knowledge to manage various types of events. The topic still raises numerous questions, particularly given the fact that the activity is not recognized as a profession and thus has diverse training processes and no established standard initially required. This creates differing standards in their practice, favoring fragile hiring situations and a lack of uniformity in the identification of those working in the market. Understanding and recognizing the competencies, skills, and attitudes that inform the authoritative representation of these professionals increasingly demonstrates the responsible expansion of this labor market.
