In this article our main themes are the History of Science and Scientific Dissemination. The objective was to identify whether research in the area of Science Teaching has used Scientific Dissemination Texts (TDC) as a resource to cover aspects of the History of Science. To this end, through a bibliographical review, we searched three Brazilian magazines that deal with the History of Science for productions with the descriptors “Scientific Dissemination Texts”. Three articles were selected for analysis, so that we came to the conclusion that there is still little research that addresses the topics mentioned, however the texts analyzed converge on the idea that TDC, especially when anchored in the History of Science, play an important role in training students who understand scientific advances as processes that constitute the human capacity for creation in social, cultural and historically situated contexts.
