The book Análise do Discurso numa perspectiva enunciativa e pragmática is authored by Wander Emediato, a full professor in the School of Language and Literature at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a PhD in Language Sciences from the University of Paris. Emediato is a faculty member in the Graduate Program in Linguistic Studies (POSLIN) at UFMG and leads both the CNPq Research Group on Discourse Analysis and the Discourse Analysis Center at the same university. Published in 2022 by Pontes Editores with support from CAPES and POSLIN/UFMG, the work stands out as a significant Brazilian contribution to the field of Discourse Analysis, particularly in alignment with French traditions. The author characterizes the book as “an enunciative-pragmatic approach integrated with a philosophy of communicative action and a radical dialogic paradigm” (Emediato, 2022, p. 7).
