This article aims to examine the possible effects of discursive traceability enabled by digital investigability tools, based on the analysis of the deletion of posts with racist content on Instagram, adopting a theoretical-methodological approach grounded in Textual and Discursive Analysis (Adam, 2019; 2020) and the principles of Digital Discourse Analysis (Paveau, 2021). The analysis focuses on the notion of enunciative responsibility (prise en charge, discursive representation, point of view), considering aspects of investigability and unpredictability as a starting point for the observation of textual data in some digital genres. The corpus consists of a racist post from March 2024, published by the USP Pharmacy Athletic Association's Instagram profile, analyzed through a G1 article and two retraction notes along with their comments. By investigating the consequences of deleted racist posts, we consider that even when removed from social media, these posts can continue to impact and be viewed in other types of textual records due to the digital discursive memory associated with these contents, which would require new approaches to address racist content published on-line.
