The grotesque pinacotheca in comics

The article investigates how the senses of visual reading were problematized during the institution of the notion of pinacotheca. An "archaeological" survey of some strategies used to connect framed images distributed under a flat surface is made. The goal is to detect the extent to which the comic book layout is compromised with the control or subversion of the look and with the construction and deconstruction of a univocal sense for the narrative.
