Abstract

This article focuses on Dona Filó, a famous kimbanda in Luanda Island, a character from Jaime Bunda, agente secreto, a novel by Angolan author Pepetela, in order to understand how the knowledge is woven in this character, an interlocutor of the spirits of the water, who seems to know not only the present but also the past and the future. This makes it the great detective in this novel and, by extension, associates Catarina Kiela, the murdered girl, with the Kianda itself.
