Abstract

This essay intends to revisit the relationship between literature and history through the prism of anachronism. It would be frivolous to think the literary critic is free of respecting chronology. The time of the artwork is not limited to chronological linearity, but is projected, in part by art’s incompleteness, out of the context of its production. Therefore, considering our historical conception of literature, any reading that has in mind this artistic condition will take into consideration these two bodies of the artwork.
