Our paper interrogates how poem, archive, testimony and authorship are related in Jacqueline Goldberg’s Nosotros, los salvados, a set of poems that simultaneously recovers and erases a series of testimonies of Shoah survivors, meant for Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation. In other words, we examine the paradoxical connection this set of poems establishes with the archive it comes from.
