Experiências com a metrópole no romance Adua de Igiaba Scego

This article aims to analyse the segment “Zoppe” from the novel Adua, written by Igiaba Scego. Published in 2015 and translated into Brazilian Portuguese in 2018, this novel represents an important contribution to the group of literary works coming from contexts of migratory flows. This article wishes to discuss how characters coming from African countries interact in the metropolis, reflecting on the interactions between dominant and minority groups and the way imperialist thought is reproduced in the African context.
