Abstract

This essay is a commentary on the opening pages of “The Psychology of the Dreamprocesses”, final chapter of Freud’s Interpretation of Dreams, which strives to bring to light the obstacles faced by the author as he concludes his theory of interpretation and begins to introduce the first topic of the psychic apparatus.
