The essay presents the several tensions of Baudelaire's poetics, both on the ideological and the aesthetic level. Therefore, it makes use of the comments of some critical texts by the author and of the analysis of poem XXIV of Flores do mal. On reflecting about the different readings of his work, its suggests that there is a deep consonance between the apparent contradictions, which clearly express still current questions of modernity.Downloads
