Abstract

"São Paulo - commotion of my life!" Thus poet José Paulo Paes evokes three moments of his biography - youth, maturity and old age - intertwinning them with the changes the city went throught during the fifty years he lived in it. The route of the streets marks the map of discovery and experience. Emphatically recollected, his life with Dora is made avaible to us today, since she was the one to thoughtfully choose his testimonial for this issue of Literatura e Sociedade, bringing José Paulo back to us: his subtle humour, affable civility, charming conversation.
