Gilberto Freyre, socio-historical essay, autobiography and memorialism.Abstract
Gilberto Freyre recovered, in Casa-grande & senzala, the lavish lifestyle of his relatives and ancestors and sought to reconcile the Brazilian elite with their slavery-bound past and authoritarian present.
