Photography genesis: a photobook as a record and creation process

The growing importance of images in the contemporary society makes studies on Photography have more and more attention, slow and gradually, including its relations with other research fields such as Literature. Regarding Genetic Criticism, researches about photographic creation are very rare, and, for that matter, this work proposes an illustration of the process of photographic creation of the work called Graciliano’s Ground, presenting it with the book Photographic Documents of The Photographic Process, which includes some of the registers of documents of the photographer Tiago Santana’s process. Its intention is to valorize the photographic media itself, presenting the creation process through new photographic registers on this contemporary and pertinent support that is the photobook, an excellent format for genetic criticism research publications.
