Abstract

The union between the genetic criticism and the chaos theory can enrich and make the analysis of literary manuscripts clearer. The manuscript can be understood as a complex and self-organized system in which the process of reading transforms the noise (absence of information) into information. L’Ange, the poem by Paul Valéry, is an example of non-linearity,self-reflexivity and a new point of view created by the relation between the two theories.
