New disquisitions on Bodysphere Sitophilia: body and sex, eroticism and food

This article addresses relationships between corporeality, commensality and eroticism. To do so, the semiotic organizations of ritual and food expressions and practices that are based on the body, food and their erotic manifestations are analyzed. Specific references are made to gastro-ritual eroticism, to the so-called food porn, to corpo-mystical eroticism and to erotic anthropophagy. A model of semiotic relationships that highlights similarities and expressions between body, sex and food is proposed. It is concluded that the eroticization of the body finds in food, in its presentation and consumption, a source of creation of erotic meanings and collective imaginations.
