Abstract

In this article, Nick Couldry author remember his encounter with the book De los medios a las mediaciones, highlighting points that mark the innovative character of the Jesus Martín-Barbero’s work. In his conclusion, the author indicates that Jesús Martín-Barbero and his work must be properly inserted in the global history of communication studies.
