Abstract

This essay aims to present the contributions of the narrative / narratological approach to the organizational communication. In order to do so, the evolution of the narrative perspective is analyzed, from literary studies to its introduction in the humanities and social sciences, with special emphasis on the narratological approach of organizational communication (D’Almeida, 2001). Finally, examples and applications of such an approach in the organizational context are presented, thereby aiming to demonstrate the relevance of narrative studies to the professional and scientific field of organizational communication.
