Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify submission compliance with all items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors.
- Papers in Portuguese, English or Spanish are accepted. The revision of the language of submissions in English or Spanish is the responsibility of the author(s) and adjustments may be requested.
- The contribution must be original and unpublished, and not be evaluated for publication by another journal simultaneously; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor". Similarity verification tools are used.
- The submission file must be in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format.
- URLs for references should be provided whenever possible.
- The text must be 1.5 spacing; 12-point font; italics instead of underlining (except for URL addresses); figures and tables must be inserted in the text, not at the end of the document or in the form of annexes.
- The text must follow the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.
- The metadata (title, abstract/abstract and keywords/keywords) must be filled correctly (required in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese).
- Documents with DOI must be properly identified in the bibliography.
- The text will be submitted to double-blind review and must comply with the instructions available in Ensuring blind peer review (withdrawal of the identification of the authors of the manuscript in word).
- All communications between the journal and the author are kept confidential. Authors must designate a specific email contact at the time of submission, which will be used during the evaluation and publication process (in case of acceptance). All email contacts take place internally to the system, ensuring confidentiality between reviewers and authors.
- Manuscripts from funded research must declare the sources of funding at the end of the text.
- Manuscripts whose methodology involves research with people must present a statement that the research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the host institution.
- Paisagem e Ambiente: Ensaios uses Ithenticate to check for plagiarism and/or self-plagiarism. This procedure constitutes the initial stage of the editorial flow, regarding all submissions received.
- In cases of plagiarism and/or self-plagiarism, the manuscript will be rejected and the authors will be immediately informed.
