The urban landscape of Tiradentes (mg): the observer’s view from Gordon Cullen’s assumptions

Urban landscape brings with it a attribute, an identity imminent to its formation, communicating something to the observer and awakening unique and unique sensations and feelings in front of a certain fragment. This article aimed to analyze the urban landscape of the historic center of Tiradentes (MG) from different points of observation, to identify differences, similarities, and striking points in the landscape. The serial vision methodology proposed by Gordon Cullen was adopted for the analyzes in a previously selected path. In a complementary way, Kevin Lynch’s assumptions are also applied to the analyzes. In this path, nine different views were observed and recorded, through sketches. The article is justified by the importance of exploring the most distinct visual angles in the quest for understanding the urban landscape in its entirety.
