In this text we present some possibilities of comprehension of landscapes as well as of interference in those processes which produce them, from experiments carried out in communities located at the pre-Serra da Cantareira – district of Brasilândia – North Zone of São Paulo city. We understand that the collaborative study of landscape presents itself to residents as an action with a potential of emancipation. It is accessory to communities which take part in the change of their realities from a reflection on aspects of production of their landscape. It makes it possible for researchers the construction of a new urban, social and environmental referential for the study of landscape, created in a dialogical way. Such strategy has as its basis the creation of fronts from the Landscape Studies Group (LSG) in areas of study as a pilot project in which researchers and residents are partners in the investigation of reality, sharing and producing knowledge, organizing actions, and spreading such knowledge by media.Downloads
