Corporate open spaces in São Paulo - the concept of privately owned public open space

This paper consists in a brief presentation of a research that has been undertaken for around three yearsin association with the Quapá Project about the morphology, urban design and space characteristics of corporate centralities in São Paulo. Starting from a discussion about the public appropriation of private space and the relationship between large business companies, the real state market and the public administration, this work aims to analyze the contemporary corporate landscape architecture throughthe study of the most significant projects that compose the business centers of the metropolis.Downloads
