The research aims to understand the issues that involving the open spaces systems and the dynamics of structuring of urban space in the region of Campinas, more specifically in the cities of Limeira, Piracicaba and Rio Claro. Given the contemporary urbanization process, the current reality of the Brazilian urban tissue is still little known. In such analyses the constant discussion about the characteristics of the project and production and the use of open spaces and built ones are fundamental, because they relate directly to the field of work of the architect. For this, there must be a look that realizes the transformations occurred in the city and the juxtapositions of social, economic, environmental and landscape processes that have produced them. In the general context of the city, we must contemplate studies and analyses that can understand aspects that go beyond what the current urban design shows us.
