The parks of environmental Teresina as axis linear system of public space

Abstract

From theyear1990in Teresina-PI, has intensified the look forth green areas, including margins Parnaíba and Potirivers, when they be came protected areas, through laws that regulated the use of environmental parksand community gardens. The main objective of this paper is to discuss the importance of linear parks borderingTeresinaand identify the main problems and potential for integration in a sustainable way, with the city. The literature was reviewed and analyzed the various aspects of landscape a denvironmental parks, was heldal so the mapping of space son the banks of river sand analyzed the integration and appropriation of these spaces by the population. Think Teresina twentieth century to the first decade of this century leads us to reflection the role of rivers and their margins as important urban issues and not victim of accelerated urbanization process. It is understood that the linear reading of the landscape, formed by environmental parks bordering studied can provide a wareness of its importance, in relation to landscape features, cultural and leisure activities, but also contribute as a way of protecting their urban margins.
