Abstract

Different dimensions of cultural signification must be considered in the monument´s attribution. The identity is built at the same time by material and imaterial elements. The goal of the present article is to study the appropriation and the collective identity of the urban heritage represented by the Park of the Aterro do Flamengo, in Rio de Janeiro.
