Policies about teaching municipalization: tendencies to continuism

The objective of this study is to describe some aspects related to the assumption by the Municipality of one public school in Araraquara City- SP. Data were obtained through interviews with 8 students, their parents, the school teacher, and the school principal. The analysis was qualitative and descriptive with the objective of giving a picture of municipalization process main points including parents, students, teacher and principal participation. The results suggest that the procedures, contrary to the expected, carried out the centralization of all the decisions and that there were no participation of all people involved in the process.Downloads
