About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Editorial Committee of the Journal of Environmental Education Research is composed by national and international researchers. The Journal publishes original papers resulted from empirical researches and theoretical studies related to environmental education. The responsible editors analyze submitted papers, considering firstly their pertinence to the journal scope. Papers that attend this condition are sent to two blind ad-hoc reviewers defined by the Editorial Committee. If there are no concordance between the blind reviewers, the paper is sent to a third reviewer.

The Journal publishes original papers resulted from empirical researches and theoretical studies related to environmental education in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French languages. It must be written in a text format compatible with Microsoft Office (Word), and in the following configuration: Time New Roman, size 12, all margins of 3 cm, justified alignment, retreat of 1.25 cm at the beginning of each paragraph and typed on A4 format.

At this time, we are not able to accept manuscripts in Word 2007 format. The full text must not have more than fifteen pages. In the first page it is necessary to inform the complete title in the idiom that will be used to write all the text, an abstract limited to 150 words in the idiom chosen and in English and three keywords. Author(s)’s name(s) must not be identified. In case of empirical researches, the objectives of the research, the methodology and the most significant results must be clearly presented in the abstract. Keywords must reflect the best as possible the research theme. Figures, pictures and tables must be typed on a different file, indicating in the file where the text was typed the place that those information must be included, for example, fig. 1, table 2, etc. Both files must be sent to revipea@epea.tmp.br.

    Is published by a group of researchers from public universities linked to the Postgraduate Studies in Ecology and Natural Resources (UFSCar), to the Postgraduate Studies in Education (UNESP – IB – Rio Claro) and to the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Teacher Education (FFCLRP – USP – Ribeirão Preto). The Journal publishes original papers resulted from empirical researches and theoretical studies related to environmental education, from Brazilian and foreign authors, in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French languages. The journal was launched in 2006 as one of the results of Environmental Education Meetings that have been running by these three mentioned universities.
