Abstract

Society needs that we think about a sustainable future. So, education for sustainability must be a goal with investment concerning teacher education. This paper discusses sustainability and sustainable development, guidelines for teaching this thematic, teacher education and educational research. Education for sustainability implies a new orientation or teaching with more pupil-centred learning situations and with problem-based learning at local, regional and global level.
