Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the differences and approximations of the concepts, principles and guidelines of teacher education in relation to environmental educator education. The focus of this reflection is originated from observations contained in the final report of the Research Discussion Group on environmental educator education, presented at the Fifth Research Meeting on Environmental Education (V EPEA) in 2009. We understand that the concepts, principles and guidelines proposed by different authors in the educational field may be useful to understand the education process of environmental educators, regardless of the specificity of the ecological subject and the multiplicity of subjects behind the figures of environmental educators.
