Coletivizando saberes: (re)construção da memória ambiental de moradores da cidade de Botucatu

Abstract

This paper presents a rescue of the environmental memory of inhabitants of the city of Botucatu (São Paulo) through Life Oral History methodology. Its objective is to contribute with the survey and valuation of the history of this city, generating knowledge for awareness-raising proposals and Environmental Education actions in rural and urban spaces in the municipal district of Botucatu. We could observe an increasing process of man-nature separation and the adherence to unsustainable development processes, what has generated serious socioenvironmental problems.
