Abstract

This paper deals with the ethical principle of responsibility proposed by the philosopher Hans Jonas, intending to demonstrate that it is theoretically possible to formulate an environmental education proposal that is both pedagogical and interdisciplinary. Considering ethics as a guiding principle, the text identify the environmental crisis within human existence, and notes that the concern with future generations imposes the highest duty to preserve nature, which indicates the need for a dynamic education, focused on social responsibility, as a duty imposed on the collective praxis.
