Report on a particular production of The Three Sisters

The main purpose of this report is to present the process used on the research for the setting of the play The Three Sisters, by Anton Chekhov, starting with the actor training with the clown technique. The research, distinguished as a “Participating Research”, was developed in the Post-Graduation Program in Arts from USP – Sao Paulo University, under the guidance of professor dr. Armando Sergio da Silva. It was accomplished within the cast of Traço Cia. de Teatro, from Florianopolis. Following a personal clown research line, this paper aims at comprehending the contact process of the actor with its subjectivity instigated by the clown technique and the ethical and aesthetic consequences brought from this relationship.Downloads
