Resumo

In diesem Beitrag wird das von Ludwig Wittgenstein in seiner späteren Philosophie verwendete Konzept der „Lebensform(en)“ wieder aufgegriffen. Ausgangspunkt ist die Frage nach einer Textgabelung im Sinne eines Interpretationsstreits, der zu unterschiedlichen Schulen in der Rezeption eines bestimmten Philosophen geführt hat. Die angewandte Methode besteht darin, eine entscheidende Textpassage zu betrachten und dann den Interpretationskontext bis zu dem Punkt zu erweitern, an dem die argumentative Strategie Wittgensteins, einen polyphonen Dialog kontrastierender Stimmen zu inszenieren, bei dem verschiedene Themen in nichtlinearer Weise einbezogen werden, in klareren Konturen zur Erscheinung kommt. Das Ergebnis nenne ich eine textuelle Ent-Gabelung, in der konträre Ansichten kompatibel gemacht werden. Die Diskussion ist auch für eine epistemische Debatte in den Translationswissenschaften — als ein Nebenprodukt — relevant, denn das Hauptziel ist und bleibt philosophischer Natur (das Auflösen einer nur scheinbaren Dichotomie).
