Abstract

Building a philosophy of time and an architecture of the world based on immanence is the task of the book: Futuros menores: Filosofías del tiempo y arquitecturas del mundo desde Brasil, by Luz Horne. By making time the operator of multiplicities, the author undertakes an aesthetic and political gesture on short stories, essays, curatorships, films, architectures, and art objects that promote a displacement in relation to epistemological and knowledge places historically organized under the logic of modernity, building a contemporary Latin American thought on time and space, which exceeds both national and regional axes, goes beyond colonial and modern marks, and establishes itself as a place of invention and knowledge production. The proposal assumes the understanding of a temporality associated to the body and to matter, in which Brazil is the scenario to observe the world political and ecological crisis, the failures of the Eurocentric model and the different propositions supposedly able to circumvent them. This is a vision that aims to perceive, in this historical regression to artistic projects of the 20th century, the germs of a dissident temporality, in the process
