Critical Comments on Freud’s Textual References to Kant.

Abstract

This paper pretends to to critically analyze the main moments of Freud’s work when there are textual references to Kant, in order to begin a com parative analysis between the concepts of both disciplines, as well as to indicate that there is a structural relation between Kant’s philosophical positions and Freud’s epistemological thought applied to psychoanalysis as a practice related to the sciences of nature. With this in mind, it is argued that the criticism toward certain fundamental concepts of the Freudian psychoanalysis, while belonging to the fram ew ork of the Kantian philosophy, would be a necessary attitude for the developm ent of the psychoanalytic psychology.
