Resumo

Este estudo qualitativo investigou, por meio de entrevistas autobiográficas, os significados afetivos dos projetos de vida de cinco educadores brasileiros reconhecidos publicamente por seu compromisso com a educação. Partindo de uma perspectiva teórico-metodológica dos Modelos Organizadores do Pensamento e da Neurociência dos Afetos, objetivou-se avançar na compreensão do papel das emoções na construção de projetos de vida éticos. Destaca-se, como fenômeno comum, a integração das metas pessoais com metas para além de si, reguladas pelo sentimento de bem-estar vivido na profissão docente e no cuidado do outro e pelos sentimentos de dor e indignação diante da violência, ressignificados como motores para a transformação da realidade.
