A teoria do apego aplicada à relação humano-cão

Este artigo explora a relação entre humanos e cães a partir da Teoria do Apego de Bowlby, abrangendo também outras perspectivas sobre a interação entre essas duas espécies. Destaca-se a ontogênese do apego, com ênfase no desenvolvimento desse laço afetivo, inclusive com animais de outras espécies. Em especial, o Canis lupus familiaris representa um exemplo extremamente relevante, considerando sua longa história de domesticação e interação próxima com os humanos. A relação afetiva humano-cão é explorada como uma relação de apego (conforme postulada pela Etologia), destacando-se sua complexidade, que pode ir além da comparação com a relação mãe-infante. Por fim, discute-se a antropomorfização como fator influente nesse apego – tanto de maneira positiva quanto negativa – ao abordar questões sobre a agência do cão nessa relação. Este ensaio contribui para uma compreensão aprofundada da complexa dinâmica do apego humano-cão, ressaltando a necessidade de abordagens que reconheçam tanto as semelhanças quanto as diferenças entre as espécies.
