Aspectos psicobiológicos da regulação emocional no transtorno por uso de álcool

Este ensaio teórico explora as relações entre diferentes aspectos da regulação emocional e o transtorno por uso de álcool. A regulação emocional é discutida como um processo crítico influenciado por respostas cognitivas e neurobiológicas ao álcool, em que a desregulação é um fator-chave na persistência e gravidade desse transtorno. O ensaio destaca o impacto de estratégias emocionais nos comportamentos de consumo de álcool, vinculando ainda mais o transtorno por uso de álcool a deficiências cognitivas e sociais mais amplas. Os principais achados indicaram que essa substância exerce influências significativas, tanto neurobiológicas quanto comportamentais, sobre a regulação emocional em diversos contextos do indivíduo. A literatura também aponta que a desregulação emocional, potencializada pelo consumo de álcool, está associada a prejuízos cognitivos e comportamentais, enquanto estratégias regulatórias adaptativas estão relacionadas a benefícios na prevenção e recuperação da dependência.
